Org settings

Branding, contact info, and defaults.

3 min read

Settings → Organization has five parts: General Settings (organisation name and point of contact), Branding (accent colour, legal/display name, website and report footer text — what your PDF reports look like to a client), Advanced Settings (the expiry/renewal lead time and the device lifecycle), Configuration (import an MSP configuration template) and a Danger Zone for deleting the organisation. Settings → Custom Data is separate, and lets you add custom fields and custom statuses beyond the built-in ones — Active, B-Stock and Retired for hardware; Active, Cancelled, Ended and Expired for licences. Certificate statuses are always derived from the expiry date and can't be customised.

    Update General Settings

Organisation name and a point of contact (name, email, phone) for your records.

  2. 02

    Set your Branding

Accent colour, legal/display name, website and report footer text — this is what your generated reports and QBR packs look like to a client.

  3. 03

    Set your Advanced Settings

The expiry/renewal lead time (default 14 days) decides how far ahead something counts as expiring across every status badge, report and alert. The device lifecycle (default 3 years, 1–20) decides when hardware reaches end of life. Changing the lifecycle recalculates the end-of-life date on every manually-tracked device in the organisation. Both are owner-level changes.

Add custom fields or statuses (optional)

Settings → Custom Data lets you define extra fields for hardware/licences, or add custom statuses beyond the built-in system ones. Custom hardware statuses pass through untouched by the expiry engine — AssetSort won't overwrite them with Expiring or Expired.
