Deleting your account
What's deleted, what has to be handed on first, and the 14-day grace period.
2 min read
You can close your AssetSort account yourself from the bottom of Settings → Profile. Deletion is scheduled rather than immediate: your account stays usable for 14 days, then it — and every organisation only you work in — is permanently deleted. Organisations other people work in are never deleted with your account.

Hand on what other people use
If you own an organisation other people work in, transfer its ownership to one of its admins first (Settings → Members → Transfer ownership). If you own an MSP workspace that still manages clients, hand them over — or archive them and delete them permanently — first; an archived client still counts until it's deleted. The deletion dialog lists anything still in the way under Hand these on first.

Schedule the deletion
Choose Delete my account. Tick each organisation you solely own to confirm it goes too — with all its hardware, licences, certificates, people, documents and alerts — and read what AssetSort has to keep, and why. You're removed from every other organisation. Type delete my account and choose Schedule deletion.

Change your mind
Until the date shown, the same place on Settings → Profile offers Cancel deletion, and everything carries on as before.
