Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These terms are a contract between Patryk Orsztynowicz, running the business Applitude - Patryk Orsztynowicz ("AssetSort", "we", "us"), ul. Cypryjska 1A lok. 4, 75-430 Koszalin, Poland, NIP 6692588572, and the business or organisation that uses the AssetSort service ("you", the "Customer"). Our Data Processing Agreement forms part of them. Full business details are on our legal notice.
1. The service and who can use it
AssetSort is an online service for keeping an inventory of an organisation's hardware, software licences and certificates: assigning them to people, tracking renewals and lifecycle, raising alerts and producing reports, optionally from data synced from Microsoft 365. To use it you need an internet connection, a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari with JavaScript and browser storage enabled, and an email address. Connecting Microsoft 365 also needs an administrator of that tenant.
AssetSort is a tool for businesses, IT teams and managed service providers. It is not offered to consumers. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 and are using the service for your trade, business or profession, and — if you sign up on behalf of an organisation — that you have authority to accept these terms for it.
"Authorised users" are the people your organisation invites to its workspace. You are responsible for what your authorised users do in the service and for keeping their sign-in details secure. Tell us promptly at support@assetsort.com if you believe an account has been compromised.
2. How the contract is formed
The contract is formed when you complete sign-up and we create your account. Before you submit the sign-up form you can review and correct everything you entered. If you join an organisation by invitation, you use the service as one of its authorised users under its contract with us, and you agree to follow these terms (in particular §7). The service is currently free of charge, so signing up commits you to no payment (§5).
These terms are available in English only. We do not file an individual copy of the contract for you; the version in force is always published on this page, and you can save or print it. We keep earlier versions and will send you the version that applied to you on request.
3. Managed service providers and their clients
If you are a managed service provider ("MSP"), you may create and manage workspaces for your own clients. You confirm that each client has authorised you to do so, including to connect that client's Microsoft 365 tenant and to have its data processed under our Data Processing Agreement. A client workspace is covered by your plan. You remain responsible to us for the use of every workspace you manage, and you will tell your clients how their data is handled in AssetSort.
4. Connecting Microsoft 365
When you connect a Microsoft 365 tenant, an administrator of that tenant grants AssetSort access through the Microsoft Graph API: read access to the directory, licence, device and security data the service shows, and read-write access to Intune-managed devices, which the service uses only to send Intune's retire command to a device when one of your authorised users chooses to while offboarding someone. You confirm that you are entitled to grant that access and that you have told the people whose data is read (for example, your staff) about it, as data protection law requires of you as controller. You can disconnect at any time from Settings, and revoke the consent in your Microsoft tenant. Your use of Microsoft 365 is governed by your own agreements with Microsoft.
5. Plans, fees and payment
AssetSort is in early access. Accounts are opened from our waitlist or by invitation, and the service is currently provided free of charge: we have not set any prices, we do not take payment details, and nothing you do in the service creates a charge. The service may apply limits to your workspace — for example to the number of items, users or client workspaces — which are shown in the service and may change as we develop it; a change of limits never removes people or deletes data. Any plan names or prices you may see on our website or in the service during early access are provisional and are not an offer.
If we decide to charge for the service, we will publish the prices, what each plan includes and how billing works, and update these terms, telling you at least 30 days before any of it applies to you (§16). We will never charge you unless you expressly choose a paid plan and agree to its price. If you do not want to, you may stop using the service and export your data under §12.
Sole traders registered in Poland. If you are a natural person running a business entered in CEIDG and this contract does not have a professional character for you — judged in particular by the business activity shown in CEIDG — the consumer provisions listed in Article 7aa of the Polish Consumer Rights Act apply to you. In particular, you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of concluding it, without giving a reason, by sending any clear statement to support@assetsort.com. If you have paid us anything, we will refund it within 14 days of receiving your statement; if you asked for a paid plan to start before the 14 days ended, you pay only for the period up to your withdrawal.
6. Your data
You own the data you and your authorised users put into the service, and the data the service imports on your instruction (for example from Microsoft 365) — together, "Customer Data". You give us the rights we need to host, copy, transmit and display Customer Data only to provide, secure and support the service for you. We do not sell Customer Data or use it to advertise. Where Customer Data includes personal data, our Data Processing Agreement governs how we process it.
You are responsible for the lawfulness of the Customer Data you provide and for having the rights and notices needed to put it into the service.
7. Acceptable use
You must not, and must not let anyone else:
- use the service for anything unlawful, or to store or share content that is illegal;
- upload malware, or attempt to access another customer's data or any system without authorisation;
- test the security of the service, or put an unreasonable load on it, without our written permission;
- circumvent plan limits, access controls or rate limits;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service, except as an MSP managing its own clients under §3 or where the law allows it despite this restriction.
8. Our service and feedback
We own the AssetSort software, design and content (other than Customer Data). These terms give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
9. Availability, support, complaints and risks
We work to keep the service available and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability unless we have agreed a service level with you in writing. We may carry out maintenance, and we may improve or change features. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of a change that materially reduces the service you pay for; if you do not accept it, you may cancel and we will refund any fees paid for the period after the change. Support is provided by email at support@assetsort.com.
The service's reports, alerts and cost figures (including licence prices that are estimates from public reference prices) are tools to help you manage your IT estate. They are not legal, financial or security advice, and decisions you take on them remain yours.
Complaints about the service. If something does not work as these terms describe, email support@assetsort.com with your organisation's name, what happened and when. We will reply within 14 days. Complaints about how we handle personal data follow §7 of our Privacy Policy.
Risks of using an online service. Like any internet service, AssetSort can be targeted by phishing emails that imitate it, by malware on the device you use, and by attempts to guess or reuse passwords. Use a unique password, turn on two-step verification, sign in only at assetsort.com, and keep your browser and device up to date. What the service stores in your browser is described in §9 of our Privacy Policy.
10. Content restrictions, notices of illegal content and our decisions
What we restrict. Customer Data stays private to your organisation; we do not review or moderate it in the ordinary course. We may restrict access to content, or suspend or close an account, only where it breaches §7 or the law, and only after a person at AssetSorthas reviewed the case — we do not use automated tools to make these decisions.
Reporting illegal content. Anyone can tell us about content in the service they believe is illegal by emailing support@assetsort.com. To let us act, include: why you believe the content is illegal; where it is (the organisation and, if you can, the page or link); your name and email address (unless the report concerns child sexual abuse material); and a statement that you believe in good faith that the report is accurate and complete. We will confirm receipt, decide carefully and without undue delay, and tell you what we decided.
Our reasons and your right to challenge. If we restrict content or an account, we will tell the affected customer clearly and specifically what we did, why, on what basis and how to challenge it, unless the law prevents us or the content is deceptive high-volume commercial content. You can challenge any such decision by replying to that message or writing to support@assetsort.com; we will review the decision again, without automated tools, and tell you the outcome. You may also go to the courts.
Where we become aware of information giving rise to a suspicion that a criminal offence involving a threat to the life or safety of a person has taken place, is taking place or is likely to take place, we will inform the competent authorities.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and close your organisation or account at any time from Settings. We may end these terms on 30 days' notice for any reason, or straight away if you materially breach them and do not put the breach right within 14 days of our notice. We may suspend access immediately, for as short a time as possible, where that is necessary to protect the service, other customers or the law. We will tell you why, as described in §10. Ending these terms does not take away your right to retrieve your data under §12.
12. Exporting your data and switching provider
You can export your organisation's data from the service at any time, at no charge. If you are moving to another provider or to your own systems, or simply want your data erased, the following also applies:
- Notice. You can ask us to start switching at any time, by writing to support@assetsort.com; no notice period applies.
- Transitional period. For up to 30 days after your request, the service keeps working as before, we give you and any provider you authorise reasonable help with exporting, we tell you of any known risk to continuity, and we keep your data secure in transfer and throughout the retrieval period. If 30 days is technically unfeasible, we will tell you within 14 working days and propose a longer period (no more than 7 months). You may extend the period once, for a time you consider more appropriate.
- Retrieval period. After the transitional period, or after you close an organisation, its data stays retrievable for at least 30 days — the organisation is archived read-only and can still be exported.
- Erasure. When the retrieval period ends, or when you choose to delete permanently, we erase all exportable data, subject only to backups that expire on their own as described in our Data Processing Agreement.
- End of the contract. The contract for that organisation ends, and we tell you so, when switching has been completed or — if you asked only for erasure — when your request takes effect.
- Charges. We do not charge for switching or for data export.
The data you can export, its formats, any known limitations, and where the service's infrastructure is located are described on our data portability page, which forms part of these terms.
13. Confidentiality
Each of us will keep the other's non-public business information confidential and use it only for the purposes of these terms, except where the information is already public, is independently developed, or must be disclosed by law.
14. What we promise
We will provide the service with reasonable skill and care. Beyond the promises in these terms and the Data Processing Agreement, the service is provided as it is, and we exclude other terms implied by law to the extent the law allows.
15. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for damage caused intentionally, for loss caused by gross negligence in handling Customer Data, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
Subject to that, neither of us is liable for loss of profits, revenue or goodwill, or for indirect or consequential loss; and each party's total liability under or in connection with these terms in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in that period and £100.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a material change we will tell you by email or in the service at least 30 days before it takes effect; if you do not accept it, you may cancel before then. Other changes take effect when published here. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms last changed.
17. General
Neither of us is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them to a successor of our business on notice to you. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. These terms, the Data Processing Agreement and any order you place are the whole agreement between us about the service. Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms. These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by Polish law, and the common court having jurisdiction over our address has exclusive jurisdiction. This does not take away any protection the law gives a customer described in the last paragraph of §5.
