Analytics dashboards
Hardware, licence and certificate breakdowns you can click into.
3 min read
Insights holds three live dashboards, one per record type — Hardware Analytics, Licence Analytics and Certificate Analytics in the sidebar. Each opens with a row of headline figures; where a figure has an info icon, hover it to see exactly what it counts. On the Hardware and Licence dashboards, most figures link to the list they summarise. When Microsoft 365 is connected, each title row shows when the tenant last synced.

Hardware Dashboard
Health, age and spend across your hardware: total hardware (in service and retired — spares are counted on their own page), how many are in service, how many fail Intune compliance, and how many are past (or about to reach) end of life. Device health cards follow when you have Intune-managed devices, then Spend by Hardware Type (spares stacked as their own segment, with their total below), Hardware Status and an age chart that runs to your device lifecycle.
- 02
Licence Dashboard
Spend, seat utilisation and renewals: annual spend, active licences, unused seats (or total licences when no seat counts are known) and what's renewing or overdue, then seat utilisation, the Renewal Runway, Spend by Licence (which also names the licences that have no cost set) and Licence Status.

Certificate Analytics
Tabs for Certificates, Certifications and App Credentials. Certificates and App Credentials show how many have expired and how many expire within 30 days, with an expiry horizon in 30, 60 and 90-day bands; Certifications shows what's current, expiring and expired, where expiring follows each certification's warning time (90 days unless you've changed it). The Certificates tab also counts wildcard and multi-domain certificates and the domains they cover; App Credentials counts the Entra apps covered.
