Joining from an invitation
Accept an invite to a team, a client, or a hand-over.

Invitations to join an organisation are links: whoever invited you copies the link and sends it to you themselves, and it works once, within 7 days, for the email address it was made for. The one invitation AssetSort emails for you is an MSP's hand-over of a client organisation. Every invitation opens on the same page, which tells you which organisation it's for and which address it was sent to.

Open the link and sign in — or create an account
Signed out, the page offers Sign in, Create an account and Continue with Microsoft. When the organisation has Microsoft 365 connected, Continue with Microsoft comes first and Sign in reads Sign in with email instead. If you create an account, the email is fixed to the invited address.
- 02
Verify your email
You need a verified address to join. If you haven't verified yet, the page waits: confirm from the email, then choose I've verified my email (or Resend verification email).
- 03
Join
Choose Join <organisation> and you land in it with the role you were invited as. If you're signed in to a different account from the one the invitation is for, the page says Wrong account and offers Sign in with a different account.

Taking ownership after a hand-over
A hand-over invitation reads Take ownership of <organisation>, and its button is Accept ownership of <organisation>. Accepting makes you its owner and administrator: it becomes a standalone organisation with all its data, and the MSP and its staff lose access.
