A guided tour of the dashboard

Where everything lives, in five minutes.

5 min read

Every screen in AssetSort is reachable from the left sidebar, grouped into three sections: Workspace (your day-to-day records), Manage (organisation and cross-client tools), and Settings. Here's what each area is for.

  1. 01

    Home

Your landing page: connection health across clients, a renewal calendar you can subscribe to from your own calendar app, and a Renewal & Expiry Horizon list sorted overdue-first.

  2. 02

    Hardware, Licences, Certificates, People

The four core record types. Each has its own filterable, searchable list with a detail page per item — see Core Concepts for what belongs in each.

  3. 03

    Alerts

Every expiring or expired item across your fleet, grouped by severity (Critical, Warning, Info), with tabs for Open, Acknowledged, Snoozed, Dismissed and Cleared.

  4. 04

Organise (Structure, B-Stock, Tags, Groups, Tag Actions)

Structure lets you fold hardware into a folder tree (sites, departments). Tags are labels you attach to hardware, licences and certificates. Groups is a read-only view of the Entra groups your Microsoft 365 sync brought in. Tag Actions turns a tag selection into a scoped mini-dashboard with bulk operations — see Tags & Tag Actions. B-Stock only appears once B-Stock tracking is switched on for the organisation.

  5. 05

    Insights (Analytics, Reports, Security)

Hardware Analytics, Licence Analytics, Certificate Analytics and Dependencies give you breakdowns and drill-downs. Reports is where you generate and schedule branded PDFs, including the Client QBR Pack. Security surfaces Microsoft Secure Score, MFA coverage and admin hygiene once a Microsoft 365 tenant is connected.

  6. 06

MSP (My queue, Fleet, Clients & Staff)

Visible if you manage more than one organisation. My queue is the one place that lists what needs you across every client you're assigned to — alerts, retirement work and what's due in the next 30 days — with the action on each row; it is the Home page for technicians. Fleet is the commercial cross-client overview for owners and admins and needs the Growth plan or above; Clients & Staff is where you add managed clients and see which staff can access which clients. See the MSP & Multi-Client section.

  7. 07

    Settings

Grouped into Account (Profile), Workspace (Members, Organization, Custom Data) and Platform (Alerts, Integrations, Activity Logs). Billing lives separately, under your avatar menu in the top-right → Billing.
