Tags & Tag Actions

Organizing your fleet and scoped bulk operations.

5 min read

Tags are coloured labels you attach to hardware, licences and certificates — things like Critical, Compliance, Finance, or VIP. They're freeform, so you define whatever set makes sense for your organisation from Organise → Tags. Once you've tagged items, Tag Actions turns any tag selection into a scoped mini-dashboard: item counts, asset value, a health breakdown, and bulk operations you can run against everything matching. See "Using Tag Actions" in Bulk Actions & Data for the full walkthrough.

  1. 01

    Create a tag

Organise → Tags → Add Tag. Give it a name and a colour — the colour is what shows up as the badge everywhere the tag is used.

  2. 02

    Apply it to items

Tags are added from a hardware, licence or certificate record's own "Manage tags" control, or in bulk from Tag Actions once at least one item has the tag. Tags apply to those three record types only — People aren't tagged.
